Most people seem to have a group of events that they are prepared to get through comfortably, any interest in having one member post a set of circumstances and looking at how others would "make their stand" ?

I'm not sure I can use the word "comfortably" but it could be interesting.
What you thinking?

lets start simple, a terrorist group contaminates 75% of the north American diesel fuel stock, so that almost no over the road trucks run and the stores don't get restocked, no other action is taken by said terror group, the refineries still function, just a couple of weeks to sort out the lack of transport. Gas would also be effected because the fuel trucks wouldn't run either.

As with most scenarios... I'm going to hang around the farm till thing clear.
We have food and water stored, with the root cellar full, garden growing with well water. (and two springs to back that up)
So I will be locking (and guarding) the farm gate. Waiting till things smooth out.
I hope some others will chime in...

How about the grid going down or being taken out over a large area ... east/west coast. We see how people act when the lights go out for a few days. What happens when it goes out for months?

A country wide grid down would effect almost everything, most people would go into shock. The current lifestyle requires current

On the most part I'd be staying home if the trucks weren't delivering.. the only local grocery store is well with in walking distance.so I'd walk or Drive over to get what is deffently needed.depending on the gas supply.id most likely drive, to every store.that includes a grocery store.a dollar general.a family dollar.and a couple of other Lil places.then to the station to fill the car up with gasoline.then back home to get everything put away.in which I'll stay home until everything smooths out plus I'd be planning my. Different get out of town routes, just in case I gotta get out.
